渴望追求也好 逃避厭惡也罷

總會遇上不希望他離開的某些人
雖然任何人都可以抱持著自己的人生哲學駁斥千百個說服的理由
但真正使你改變(或未使你改變)的 那些甚至不算是理由
我們總以自身期望的結果或習慣 去為世上大多事物賦予因果關係
如此好釐清脈絡 或設置停損點保護自身不願接觸的另一面 
然而再怎麼理性自恃 某些時候總抗拒不了當下情感湧現
這些毫無道理的熱情才是人生最大的挑戰冒險
不是那些計畫好的云云

把背包清空 切斷最後一道人際羈絆 
這樣自由無拘束的生活或許人人嚮往
然而Ryan最後1000萬哩目標達成無人可分享
內心總不免有些失落  自己長久的武裝逐一崩解
在清空後 才真正明白自己此刻渴望的是什麼
加諸自身的背包裡
裝的可以是你旅途中的存糧 你的地圖指南
你的救急藥物 你的身分證明
前進的動力

回望那些記憶中最好的時光 你會發現 自己都不是孤伶伶的

Penny Lane的角色原型
一部分是參考當年Bebe Buell (Liv Tyler她媽) 
有關當年這群骨肉皮(Groupies)和樂手的混亂情史  
有人整理了一部分 
(這還只是從Jimmy Page出發 沒有深入討論Beatles, Eric Claptain其他線的... 前陣子新聞才報Mick Jagger 4000人斬...)
當時樂手巡迴生態就是如此  Ozzy自傳也提到一些
透過15歲主角眼中 片中將這些部分淡化不少 甚至沒有嗑藥場景
也許是想保留最後一分美好的想像
因此脆弱卻又早熟的Penny Lane是如此唯美令人心疼

Philip Seymour Hoffman飾演的Lester Bangs是真有其人
他也是能一針見血犀利地看透搖滾與樂團本質的樂評人
開頭見面便直接對主角說搖滾的黃金時代已過
雖然劇中當年才1973, 仍是很多人心中的美好年代
(對我這種老搖滾掛的80年代後搖滾才真的已不復在) 
"You cannot make friends with the rock stars... They'll buy you drinks, you'll meet girls... I know. It sounds great. But they are not your friends. These are people who want you to write sanctimonious stories about the genius of the rock stars, and they will ruin rock 'n' roll and strangle everything we love about it ... and then it just becomes an industry of cool."
他很清楚身為樂團的"Enemy"是要保持某種距離以免迷失自我
才能做出忠於自我  誠實而毫不留情的評論
"I'm always home. I'm uncool."
"The only true currency in this bankrupt world is what we share with someone else when we're uncool. " 
這些話為主角和大多數的我們解套了 
我們不夠酷 當不成搖滾樂手 無法也不需要融入那個圈圈
但是我們聰明 別人只顧著說 而我們懂得聽
重點是能誠實分享這些感受便已足夠 

難能可貴的是最後沒有搖滾戰勝傳統價值
或是家庭勝過惡魔化的搖滾這種救贖橋段
使得這部電影不落入俗套
更顯溫情與真誠
